A home located in a transitional zone between the town center and the forest. Perched on the mountainside, this house exists between two realities: the traditional village and the wilderness. The design blends seamlessly into the landscape, reinterpreting rural architecture from a contemporary perspective. Local stone, dark wood, and earth-toned plaster create a material palette that is understated, warm, and timeless.
We designed this home to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, where every decision seeks to strike a balance between the site’s history and contemporary life.
Every detail respects the essence of the surroundings, reinterpreting rural architecture with a contemporary vision.
Stone, wood, light, and landscape: the four pillars upon which this home in the mountains is built. The house unfolds through an interplay of volumes that reflect its dual identity: tradition toward the village, modernity toward the forest.

A home designed to embrace the forest and harmonize with the village’s traditional architecture.
The biggest challenge was addressing the plot’s dual identity: one facade facing the village with a more understated and conservative style, and another opening onto the forest with more contemporary lines and large windows. Light, views, and local materials were key to striking a balance between the rustic and the modern. The result is a home that blends into the mountains and reinterprets rural architecture with emotion and respect.
