Sun and Shadow

With a distinct Mediterranean feel, the house opens its intimate interiors to the outdoors, expanding along the lines of the masonry walls that stretch out, taking root in the landscape. The final layout of the building ensures that the rooms face in two directions, which is necessary to achieve the bioclimatically efficient use of cross-ventilation.

The project was carried out on a site with a steep slope, which posed a major challenge in terms of design and use of space.

Making the most of the sloping terrain, bringing nature into both the interior and exterior of the home, incorporating sustainable elements, and achieving a modern, minimalist style were the main challenges of the project. The client wanted the interior of his home to be an extension of the outdoors surrounding it.

We create a home that maximizes panoramic views, offers well-designed interior spaces, and minimizes environmental impact.

To that end, we incorporate renewable energy systems and thermal insulation techniques. In addition, two green courtyards were created inside the home, offering views to the outside in almost every direction, along with large windows and terraces facing in all directions.
